Sadly, immorality and selfish indecency don't seem anti-American these days. Trump appealed to just these base instincts and millions of Americans not only bought into it but celebrate him - and by association, these qualities - as supremely patriotic and pro-American.
The DC Bishop Budde might just fit the bill of the next MLK. I do not think she is backing down. At the very least she is a beacon of light in a very dark time.
