The New York Times is calling him the “most popular” anchor and one of the “most influential” voices of the American Right.
The Washington Post is referring to him today as “bombastic.”
Almost every other media outlet brands the now dismissed Tucker Carlson as simply “provocative.”
What a cowardly way of dealing with a very obvious truth!
Carlson is none of the above. He is primarily a political extremist, a demagogue, a propagandist and a serial liar and fabulist.
Without a doubt, he’s the most noxious American media figure since Father Coughlin played footsie with the Klan, anti-semites and the Nazis.
The Carlson saga tells us much about American media. First of all, that even such a morally desiccated outlet as FOX should give him such unbridled notoriety (and $15 million a year in salary) is in itself a horrifying story about the decline of civil society. And the rest of the mainstream media is once again proving it just cannot get the marbles out of its mouth when dealing with or covering political extremism in America. Mostly because in its artificial he said/she said approach, it’s just not permitted to call the players what they really are. You can’t call someone a fascist, for heaven’s sake. They only exist in foreign countries and wear funny uniforms.
P.S. I don’t claim to be clairvoyant. Just mildly aware. Two hours ago I predicted on Facebook that what I call the Twitter Left — the wild musings of types like Greenwald, Taibbi, Aaron Maté, Katie Halper et all would soon be eulogizing Carlson as an anti-war hero shut down by deep state censorship.
I’m not shocked to see I was right. Here’s a Tweet from the loudest loudmouth faux leftist of all, showman and web grifter Jimmy Dore:
Also as predicted, Glenn Greenwald joined the Tucker Pity Party by remind us, in multiple tweets, what an upstanding guy he is.
And we have a few other less-than-sane elements also jumping to defend Carlson. How about Bobby Kennedy Jr., rabid anti-vaxxer, author of a screed trashing Dr. Fauci and now a fringe presidential candidate.
It’s good that Tucker has been canned, at least until he reappears on some other skank platform. But, folks, we have some big problems here in America with a whole lot of crazy people on the Right and the Left and certainly in between. +

What exactly made Glen and Matt go crazy at the same time?
He was the most influential media figure of ALL parties, BY FAR - on TV. He's hardly a right-winger. Guy speaks truths and calls it like he sees them.
