A very strange development. The reasoning that Garland is a Biden appointee thus giving the appearance of trying to bring down a political rival, is ridiculous. Garland still has to sign off on any indictments the special council makes. Let's hope Jack Smith finally hands down some indictments and let's hope Garland approves them.

the good news is there is really desperation. The rats are frantically looking for ways off the sinking ship.

“a buffer and an excuse” and the appearance of action from an inert, beleaguered investigation. It’s a punt in the 4th quarter.

I think there is reason to appoint a special counsel. I don’t remember how the statute is written now, but the direct political opposition raises suspicion of bias. I think if you think you will name a special counsel, get out front of the trolls. Greene’s campaign is unlikely to catch on even on the right, but it could have if she/they had made it an issue with McCarthy’s reorg.

My first instinct after The Donald lost in 2020 was, "Just let him go away. Don't bother."

But when the House started up I said: "Okay, they really have to. And, they want to disqualify him from running again. OK."

Now, guess what? He's running and this thing will drag on for too long to disqualify him anyway.

So, only one way to end the Teflon Don: Don't elect him. And in the process, make America great again!
