Most of the mainstream news media has let America down, big time. But this is nothing new. While i'm appalled at the bias of Democracy Now! on the Gaza/Israel conflict (and Israel in general) i look to them for excellent reporting on other issues. I read Haaretz, the Guardian, the New Republic to get a good mix of good journalism. CNN, MSNBC, Rachel Maddow, etc don't grace my TV. I do enjoy Jon Stewart being back on the Daily Show. I might not always agree with him but he's smart as a whip and funny as all heck.
Thanks for this. I've been so busy in my corner of the rabid hole (can I trademark that?) that I hadn't paid attention to Kahn's comments. In 1932 he'd have covered the German elections the same way, as a horse race, saying "if the German people are so concerned about the Jews that they want to elect Hitler, it's just our job to report that."

No doubt that is what he would say as he was being packed onto a train to Poland,
