Your perspective on what’s coming is accurate. And the antidote is what you describe, street level organizing. (Although local Democratic Party groups can be a good outlet for organizing.) The clear connections between Mump and Putin and world fascism in general are frightening but don’t change the basic prescription of local resistance to the MAGA onslaught. My contribution will be limited by my responsibilities in raising my two grandchildren but I will do what I can, including support for honest reporting like yours and others. We must build our movement from the ground up. Sounds hard but it’s possible.

I have a course, it's instinctive from surviving the business i'm in, gotta get through it, navigate but this is peculiar, man vs machine. It's an awful lot like gaming with these people. Yet the rules of their OWN survival are constantly being broken in terms of longevity, that's where my outlook comes in, they defy stabilization and we must survive, regardless.

You say, “The world will be the same on January 1 as it was the day before.” But on January 20th everything changes. That point was made to me yesterday by a Border Patrol officer at a southern Arizona checkpoint. He said on January 20th we’ll see the return of law and order at the border. He sounded menacing and fascist. But not as ominous as incoming Border Czar Tom Homan who will launch a “deportations are humanitarian acts” PR campaign upon taking office.

The communities and culture (I might add) are shared freely between El Paso and Juarez, it's not a bad thing you know? People go back and forth.
