Probably the most useful thing our zealous staff can offer you is a mask and snorkel and goggles as the Epstein Scandal has overflowed the bowl and its stinky output is up to knee level.

I am not going to waste your time or mine sorting through the lies, distractions, accusations and lawsuits that are erupting by the hour. I couldn’t stand to do it and you don’t need to hear it again.

I will get right to a couple of main points that remain obscure in the hope of providing some possible explanations.

WHY IS THE TRUMP BASE IN AN UPRISING?

I don’t think for a moment that much of Trumpland gives one hoot whether or not he was partaking of any of Epstein’s nubile party favors. They couldn’t care less. Remember this creature voluntarily boasted about his sex abuse crimes saying he can grab whatever woman-girl-baseball mitt “by the pussy” and he was elected president ten days later.

Remember he used Michael Cohen as a middleman to pay off porno star Stormy Daniels who he bedded down just weeks after his youngest child was born. This, in turn, resulted in 34 felony convictions of falsifying business records to cover up the hush money payments.

He also got tagged for $85m in civil court for essentially raping E. Jean Carroll.

It’s been reported a hundred times that there are as many as 26 other women who have alleged he has sexually abused them.

He got re-elected to a second term and won the popular vote.

So I am going to go out on a limb and assert that MAGA, generally speaking, doesn’t give a flying fuck who Trump has or has not fucked, including on Epstein’s Pago-Pago island.

So why is this time different, whether he engaged in any nastiness or not? The answer is that over the last decade Trump has vacuumed up every species of crackpot, crank, and paranoid into his base and has pandered shamelessly to every one of their conspiracy theories. One of the two of the pillars of that mass craziness are a supposed Deep State brimming with Democratic and Elite perverts all specialized in pedophilia, even in the basements of D.C. pizza parlors. These were and have been articles of faith of the Q cult which 1/4 of Trump supporters still think is something real and revealing.

Trump was cast in their minds as a literal Superman. And only he and he alone would eventually take on the Deep State, smash it to pieces, and execute the Radical Left Democrat Pedos. He was, indeed, seen as their instrument of power, goodness and revenge.

The second pillar of Trumpthink is that all the messes he got in from Day One until 10 days ago were in fact attempts by the Deep State to take him down before he got to them. They were thought to use lies, libel, fake news, fake stories, and even fake photos to help defeat the feared Avenger. Trump always posed as a strongman but simultaneously as a constant victim, a Jesus-like figure absorbing all the evil being rained down on the Everyday Joes by the elites. These red-hatted rubes found it a lot easier to follow Q and Trump Jesus as their best source of defense.

It was a lot easier than, say, doing any learning or God forbid any reading about why their little crappy lives felt so little and crappy. This is more or less the basis of most religions and MAGA-TRUMP-Q became their new belief system.

Trump is an undiagnosed psychiatric patient and therefore I plead guilty to not having a clue as to what, if anything, is really in his head. I have no idea if he believes 1/10th of the conspiracy theories he helped spin out including the gospel of Q. But we know he gives 100% verbal backing to all of them so his acolytes accept him as being as genuine a nut as they are.

Here’s the problem: as he transitioned into the White House a second time, he reached into the crumbs at the bottom of the bag and named as many kooks, incompetents, conspiracy freaks and generally psychologically twisted miscreants to populate his agencies and cabinet.

And the most prominent among them—Patel, Noem, Bondi, Kennedy, Gabbard, Bongino, and so on down the line—all had solid records as Trump Apostles and he assured the masses they would be steadfast allies in his coming war against the Deep State. Musk was in there for a while until he OD’d — but his mass firing of scientists, researchers, geographers, paralegals, and other “bureaucrats” who keep the Fedrel Gubment running gave hope to many that Trump would soon bulldoze the last bastions of the Deep State. I mean, naming a TOTAL crackpot like Kash Patel to head the FBI was uplifting to those who believed he would disassemble the whole outfit.

Finally, at last, the increasingly incoherent King Don would bring the full weight of “we the people” onto the heads of those crooked, cosmopolitan elites that compose the Deep State and constantly cover up their evil shenanigans with one lie after another. They would soon be toast.

Things went awry, however, when the crackpot partners of Donald Trump themselves became the Deep State. They were now heading up all the agencies and departments that supposedly were the headquarters of the elite evildoers. But MAGA was pretty quiet about this or more likely just didn’t get it. They were topo busy chanting USA! USA! When Trump packed his inaugural reviewing stand with four or five of the richest men on earth, um, MAGA didn’t get the message which seemed loud and clear to anybody not drunk on Trump Kool-Aid.

Six months went by and somehow none of these Trump superheroes went public with any of the Deep State dirt left behind in their new perches. There was some anti-Deep State cosplay by Musk’s ridiculous firings, by RFK’s persecution of Dr. Fauci and the purge of prosecutors from Justice who helped jail the January 6 scum. But no revelations of any of the conspiracies that lifted them into office.

Not until the dunce Attorney General Pam Bondi handed reporters “files” on the Epstein case as promised during the campaign. A little detail: there was nothing in those packets except previously reported material that amounted to nothing new.

The rest, I think you know. This set off a howling from MAGATS who wanted the real dirt promised them. After Trump called these folks stupid and warned them to back off the Epstein case, an epidemic of scales falling from their eyes jolted through the MAGA ranks, “influencers” and opportunists.

What??? Trump the Q killer was now covering for the Deep State? Holy Jesus. It was like Jesus coming down from the cross and saying he had been joking and is really the son of the Rosensteins and NOT that of God.

Trump was holding back the 100,000 sheets of Epstein files? Patel proclaimed there never was an Epstein conspiracy even though he vigorously promoted it before moving into the Hoover Building. Bondi kept contradicting herself and despite the feeble efforts of the White House, blaming Obama and former FBI Director Chris Wray for fabricating the files, and Trump forgetting HE appointed Wray (not Biden or Obama), the heavens opened up and set off a downpour of shit-covered frogs on Trump’s noggin.

There’s now been a change of course and Trump is making pointless concessions about opening up the grand jury testimonies. But that is scant material. Those files include witness testimony, FBI field reports, a library of video CDs and galleries of photos, not to mention the breadcrumbs of a billion-dollar money trail that could lead to some really embarrassing goodies.

Don’t get me wrong, OF COURSE, I also want to see the files! And if Trump appears them, as he will, so much the better. And now that I have learned that Don first had sex with Melania on Jeff’s private plane, I want to see what her connection is to all this. Eh?

THE POLITICAL FALLOUT

I’m going to go out on another limb and say this has been a very bad week for Trump. His base is in shambles and he has no Radical Left Democrats nor any Tren de Aragua hairdressers to blame for all this. It all boils down to Trump playing to the rubes as their savior and turning out to be a stumblebum. Hoax? Yes. Trump is the hoax.

This is not a parliamentary system so Trump will be around till January 2029. The Republicans have nowhere to run — except away — and I don’t think that many will. I suspect this will encourage a Blue Wave in the midterms but be apprised the favorability of the Democratic Party is floating around 30% and while a lot of folks might be done with MAGA that doesn’t mean they are all going to marry the Democrats. And the post-Trump MAGA will be a factional dogfight that even 10,000 Trotskyists could not pull off. In short, the entire American political system is cracked and falling apart.

In Congress, the Republicans are now splitting their time between promoting one or another toothless CYA scam and going ahead passing Trump’s agenda. The police state atrocities of the ICE brigades are still daily events. And the Supreme Court is prepping for another season of badminton with Donald.

I don’t know how this is going to play out but it won’t be good for Trump and it will smash MAGA. And in no way does in promise redemption.

In the end, when this period of history is written for the record, Trump and Company will be remembered as just one more iteration of pols who lurk in the swamps of the Deep State, just a slimier and more diseased group than the previous inhabitants. ++
