This is a short but important appeal for funding. Please read.
When I started the Coop Scoop in early 2020, I intended it to span the election cycle and probably not go much further.
Then Life intervened and upset those plans.
The Pandemic. Mass Death The Second Impeachment. The Big Lie. January 6. The Collapse of Afghanistan. None of this foreseen when Coop Scoop was launched.
Coop Scoop covered all of it with the sharpest analyses I could produce.
And looking ahead:
Delta. The Unvaccinated. The Abortion Crisis. Voter Suppression. The Fallout from Kabul. The Coming Midterms, the Rise of Sedition and who knows what else?
The strategic value of independent journalism and informed opinion manifested in outlets like The Coop Scoop is obvious. Look no further than at the cringeworthy performance of the Official Media during the past two weeks.
I did my best to counter the pro-war spin with serial postings here and on FB, offering context and history ignored by a Beltway Media enamored of The Powerful.
I had put off fundraising for the last few months but now it is imperative.
