I took some days off and cautiously ventured into nearby Idaho and Montana (both relatively very low in C-19) where the natural beauty is so uplifting but I got back home last night to find the world still appears to be coming to an end.
With the police reform protests now bleeding into their fourth week, with Donald Trump’s poll numbers dropping into the shitter, and with the forced early re-openings looking as if they are accelerating a second wave –or prolonging the first—people and pundits (not always the same thing) are speculating whether this is like 1968, 1969, 1933, or 1861.

First off, let’s call this street movement what it really is. It’s a slow motion but full-blown REBELLION against years of brutality rained down by increasingly militarized police departments and aggravated by anger at an increasingly authoritarian national government.
